| People's Democratic Party (PDP) | Founded on November 1, 1991. Party publications - "Uzbekiston Ovozi" and "Golos Uzbekistana" newspapers and "Muloqot" magazine. Party motto: "Prosperity of People - Basis for Prosperity of Nation." Party members - over 580,000. Party leader: Asliddin Rustamov. His brief bio: born in 1962 in Samarkand province. Graduated from Samarkand State University and Tashkent State Economics University. Since 2001 he's been secretary in Bank Turon's board. Since 2003 he's been the first secretary of PDP. He is married, has four children. Number of members in the 1999-2004 parliament - 48 (19,2%). Number of members nominated for 2004 elections - 118. 28 won seats in the new parliament. Founded on February 10, 1995. Party motto: "Strength Is in Justice. Human Interests Are The Highest Value." Party members - 50,108. Party leader: Turgunpulat Daminov. Brief bio: born in 1941 in Tashkent. PhD in medicine, Merited Doctor of Uzbekistan. Since 1990 he's been president of the First Tashkent State Medical Institute. Since 1996 he's been party first secretary. He is married and has two children. Number of members in the 1999-2004 parliament - 8. Founded on June 3, 1995. Party newspaper - "Milliy Tiklanish". Party motto: "National Revival And Unity - Our Main Goal." Party members - over 50,000. Party leader: Hurshid Dostmuhammad. Brief bio: born in 1951 in Tashkent. Journalist and writer. Deputy in the 1999-2004 parliament. Number of members in the 1999-2004 parliament - 11. | National-Democratic Party "Fidokorlar" | Founded on January 4, 1999. Party newspapers: "Fidokor" and "Vatan". Party motto: "Living Giving All Your Strength For The Sake Of People, For The Sake Of Country!" Party members - 61,750. Party leader: Ahtam Tursunov, PhD in Law. Party first secretary and chairman of the Defense and Security Committee in the 1999-2004 parlliament. Number of members in the 1999-2004 parliament - 50. Number of members nominated for 2004 elections - 89. 18 won seats in the new parliament. Party address: 1 Drujba Narodov st., Tashkent. Tel: 139-45-53, 139-80-59. In April of 2000 the party merged with "Vatan Taraqqiyoti" party ("Development of Country" founded on July 10, 1992) and retained its name. Chairman of "Vatan Taraqqiyoti" became first secretary of the joint party. |

Party motto: "An Enterprising, Courageous, Energetic, Decisive, Practical And Vigilant Person Is Better Than Thousands Of Lazy And Indifferent People." Party members - 141,818 (as of December 12, 2004). Party leader - Mahammadjon Ahmedjanov. Brief bio - born in 1955 in Kuva district of Ferghana province. Since 2004 he's been party leader. He is married and has three children. Number of members in the 1999-2004 parliament - none. Number of members nominated for 2004 elections - 119. 41 won seats in the new parliament.
