Ethnic Uzbek murdered in St. Petersburg

An ethnic Uzbek has been murdered in St. Petersburg, the police authority of St. Petersburg city and Leningrad region told Interfax.

The body of the 46-year-old man, a native of Tajikistan, was found in a car with a head injury and a stab wound.

"The circumstances of the crime are currently being established. Extremist motives are being considered among others, as certain inscriptions were made on the car that enable us to put forward this version of events. Robbery is also under consideration as a cassette recorder was stolen from the car," Leningrad region prosecutor Sergei Romanyuk told Interfax.
