9 killed, 30 injured in tram accident in Uzbek capital

Moscow News April 30 Nine people were killed and 30 received injuries in a tramway accident in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Rosbalt said Sunday. The driver did not notice the points had been thrown over and did not slow down. As a result, the tram ran out into the traffic way in the rush hour and turned over, crushing down two cars. Six people died immediately, three more died later in hospital. Five are in a critical state.
