Uzbek leader will participate in CSTO Summit in Minsk

KAZINFORM June 22 In Moscow deputy director of CIS Affairs Department of Russian MFA Sergey Kopyrkin has held a briefing for representatives of mass media.In the course of press conference S. Kopyrkin noted that President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov was expected to take part in the forthcoming Summit of Collective Security Treaty Organization in Minsk. "Uzbek leader is supposed to participate in the top-level meeting as a guest", the Russian diplomat explained. "As for EurAsEC sitting there will be signed documents on ultimate accession of Uzbekistan to the Community", spokesman of Russian MFA stated. S. Kopyrkin noted that CSTO member states were interested in development of cooperation with Uzbekistan. "It is our important partner in Central Asia", he underlined.
