Rail service between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan resumed

An international rail service between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan is reopened in execution of tasks of the Presidents following the results of Nursultan Nazarbayev's state visit to Uzbekistan this March, Kazakhstan MFA's press service informs.

On June 9 this year passenger train 321 en route Almaty-Nukus arrived in Tashkent on June 10 at 22:40 by the local time, and on June 11 in the capital of Karakalpakstan.

Passenger train 322 en route Nukus-Almaty left for Almaty on June 12 at 13:30.

More than 400 000 of ethnic Kazakhs are known to live in Karakalpakstan. Renewal of this railway route will definitely contribute to extension of cultural and humanitarian ties between the nations.
