Kazakh, Uzbek leaders considered vital issues

On Monday Kazakhstan's president Nursultan Nazarbayev spoke with his Uzbek counterpart Islam Karimov over the phone, Kazinform refers to Presidential press service. The two leaders discussed wide range of Kazakh-Uzbek issues, oncoming SCO Summit, problems of commercial economic and cultural humanitarian cooperation etc. President of Uzbekistan confirmed his intention to attend CICMA Summit with the participation of leaders of Asian countries.

Islam Karimov and his Kazakh colleague touched upon implementation of agreements reached during state visit of the latter to Uzbekistan in March 2006, in particular, development and implementation of Program of Economic Collaboration for the nearest future, investment projects in the sphere of industry, transport, oil and gas, and joint development of banking sector.

President of Kazakhstan invited Islam Karimov to call on Kazakhstan in autumn 2006.
