Uzbek Justice Ministry warns British NGO about possible closure

The Uzbek Justice Ministry today the mission of the British nongovernmental organization Partnership for Development about its possible closure.
"Today, a warning document on facts of violations of the Uzbek legislation, which had been revealed during the recent inspection of its activities, was forwarded to the management of the NGO's Tashkent office. In particular, it was established that the NGO had been organizing various events without notifying or coordinating its actions with the authorities, registering its property incorrectly, using unregistered symbols, and most importantly, it had been working as a branch of the central organization," the Justice Ministry said.
