India's Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Tuesday arrived in Tashkent from Berlin and was received at the airport by his Uzbek counterpart Shavkat Mirziyaev and Foreign Minister Elyor Ganiev.

Mr. Singh's programme for Wednesday includes a meeting with Uzbek President Islam Karimov, which would be followed by delegation-level talks. The Indian premiere would then pay his tribute at the Monument of Humanism and Independence and would thereafter lay a wreath at the memorial of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri.
