Anand offered a Knight in the 13th move in an opening trap that showed he was well prepared. Anand won a vital center pawn on the 22nd move thereby preventing Kasimjanov from castling into safety. Anand completely dominated the board after doubling the Rooks on the d-file, threatening mate and forcing resignation on the 29th move.
