Agreement on cooperation between BiH and Uzbekistan signed

October 15BiH (Bosnia and Herzegovina) Foreign Minister Mladen Ivanic, who is heading the BiH delegation on visits to the countries of the Central Asian and Baltic region, today in Tashkent met with the Uzbekistani Foreign Minister, Sadik Safajev.
Talks focused on the political situations in both countries, and about the foreign policy priorities and bilateral relations.
Ivanic informed his Uzbekistani colleague about the current reformatory process in BiH, with accent on the progress in realized in the sectors of defence, judiciary, intelligence affairs and indirect taxation.
Interlocutors agreed that the cooperation between the two countries should prioritize combating international terrorism and organized crime, particularly of illegal narcotics trafficking, as well as economic and trade cooperation, which must be regulated contractually.
In addition, BiH and Uzbekistani diplomatic chiefs have signed the Agreement on Cooperation between the two foreign affairs ministries.
The visit to Uzbekistan is focused on economic and trade cooperation, so that the BiH delegation also comprises the BiH Foreign Trade Chamber President, Milan Lovric, who has signed the Agreement on Cooperation between BiH and Uzbekistani chambers of commerce.
