Jayalakshmi-Amanmuradova win MSLTA-ITF tennis doubles title

PTI November 5 The Indian-Uzbekistan combination of Sai Jayalakshmi and Akgul Amanmuradova won the women's doubles title in the USD 25,000 prize money MSLTA-ITF tennis circuit at the Dr Ranade Centre here today. In the final, the top seeds Jayalakshmi and Amanuradova rallied magnificiently after dropping the first set and pipped second seeds Hana Sromova of Czech Republic and Marija Abramovic of Croatia 4-6 6-4 6-4 in two hours ten minutes. Jayalakshmi and Amanmuradova shared the winner's cheque of USD 1200 while Sromova and Abramovic split USD 700 between the two of them. Results (women's doubles final): Akgul Amanmuradova (Uzb)/Sai Jayalakshmi (Ind) bt Hana Sromova (CZE)/Marija Abramovic (Cro) 4-6 6-4 6-4.
