Uzbekistan backs territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan

Azertag October 30 Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan Aydin Azimbayov met the deputy foreign minister of this country Ilham Nematov. In the course of meeting, Ambassador Aydin Azimbayov informed the minister of artificial settling by Armenia the population at the occupied territories of Azerbaijan and plunders of natural riches in the area, stating that the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict would be discussed in the 59th session of UN General Assembly. Mr. Ilham Nematov stated that his country supports territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan. In the course of the visit of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to Uzbekistan in March current year, President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov once again underlined that the Nagorno Karabakh conflict should be settled in the frame of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. He noted that Uzbekistan would back fair cause of Azerbaijan at the UN General Assembly.
