President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev receives Uzbek Ambassador Abdulgafur Abdurahmanov

November 26President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received at the Presidential palace Ambassador Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Azerbaijan Abdulgafur Abdurahmanov on November 26.
On behalf of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, its people and himself, Ambassador Abdulgafur Abdurahmanov has congratulated President Aliyev and the people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of the Holly Ramazan Bayram, and mentioned changes taken place in Azerbaijan, its economic advancement and festive mood in the country.
The Head of Azerbaijan State thanked the Ambassador for the congratulations and wishes and asked him to convey his Ramazan congratulations to the people of Uzbekistan.
President Ilham Aliyev has highly appreciated the relations of friendship and cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Uzbekistan, and expressed his satisfaction with the level of these relations both in political, economic spheres and within the framework of Turksoy and other international organizations. The president pointed out wide perspectives of the bilateral relations, whose expanding agree with the interests of the two peoples.
Ambassador Abdulgafur Abdurahmanov presented to the President of Azerbaijan coins made of treasures of the soil with the pictures of famous persons who had left deep trace in the history of Uzbekistan minted on them, and hand-made national clothes.
During the meeting, the parties have also discussed the issues related to Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan bilateral relations and the countries' cooperation in the framework of the international organizations.
Afterwards, Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Azerbaijan Abdulgafur Abdurahmanov expressed his gratitude to the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev for the sincere reception.
