Uzbek leader proposes treaties to ease transport links with Bulgaria

November 25Uzbek President Islam Karimov suggested Tuesday that his country and Bulgaria sign a set of treaties that will ease trade, and customs procedures.
Karimov suggested that other countries like Georgia, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan could also join such treaties.
He made his remarks in this Bulgarian Black Sea port that he traveled to on the second day of a visit to this Balkan country.
Local officials briefed Karimov about the Burgas port capacities as a possible key point to ship goods from Asia to Europe.
"Bulgaria is a priority for us," Karimov said indicating the role Uzbekistan attributres to it in its drive for closure trade relations with Europe.
