China sells locomotives to Uzbekistan

The first electric locomotive to be exported to Uzbekistan rolled off the production line at Zhuzhou, central China's Hunan Province.

According to the 41.8-million-US-dollars contract, the Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Factory will supply another 11 locomotives to Uzbekistan later. The locomotive adopts advanced technologies with 6,000 kilowatts of power and a speed of 120 kmh.

The factory has built over 3,200 electric locomotives since 1958, accounting for 70 percent of the total sum in China.
