Switzerland to finance EBRD projects in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Romania

Switzerland will finance three projects of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), which are worth 15 million euros, in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Romania.

Swiss federal Councilor of Economy Joseph Deiss and EBRD President Jean Lemierre signed the corresponding agreements during the 12th annual session of the EBRD board, which is currently being held in Tashkent.

Switzerland will finance three projects: repairs to heating systems in the Uzbek city of Andizhan ($4.3 million euros), market development for business consulting services in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan (3 million euros), and the improvement of heating systems in Romania's capital of Bucharest (7.1 million euros).
