Uzbekistan abolishes tax breaks for foreign-owned companies

December 18The Uzbek parliament has abolished profit tax privileges for newly-established enterprises with foreign shareholders, the parliamentary budget, banking and financial committee told Interfax.
Until recently, newly-established enterprises with foreign shareholders were exempted from profit tax for two to five years from the start of their activity, depending on their specialization, the share of foreign capital and location, the committee said.
