Uzbekistan to boost economic cooperation with Viet Nam

December 3Uzbekistan President I. Karimov has expressed his wish that his country and Viet Nam will join efforts in developing comprehensive cooperation, especially in economics and trade.
President I. Karimov received Vietnamese Ambassador Pham Huy Son who presented credentials to him on Monday.
He stressed Viet Nam's important role in Southeast Asia and its growing position in the international arena, saying Uzbekistan wished to develop all-round relations with Viet Nam and increase high-level meetings between the two countries.
President Karimov affirmed that Uzbekistan and Viet Nam have a close relationship and great potentials for cooperative development. He expressed his admiration for the Vietnamese people who have overcome numerous difficulties and challenges to develop the country.
