Pakhtakor qualifies to fourth round of AFC Champions League

Pakhtakor Tashkent advanced to fourth qualifying round of AFC Champions League after 3-0 victory over Qatar’s Al Etehad in second leg and aggregate 6-4.

The first half finished scoreless. Both teams have good chances to score, but they could not convert them to goals.

In the second half, both coaches did one substitutions and Pakhtakor’s Zayniddin Tajiev changed the game of his team. In the 74 minute of the match Al Etehad defence broke the rule against Anvar Soliev. Server Jeperov opened the score from the 20 meters spot kick. Five minutes later, Zayniddin Tojiev used mass in defence of guests and increased the goal difference to two goals.

After this guests had the good chance to score, but the goalkeeper of Pakhtakor Pavel Butenko saved his side. In the end of the match, Saad Sadam crossed the ball to his own gate and helped Uzbeks win the match.

In the fourth qualifying round, Uzbek team will clash with Al Ahli of UAE.
