Uzbek nongovernmental health charity elects new head

October 23The latest conference of the Soghlom Avlod Uchun (For Healthy Generation) International Charitable Foundation - a nongovernmental organization dealing with the upbringing of the younger generation in Uzbekistan - elected Svetlana Inamova chairwoman of the organization's board, UzReport.com said on 22 October.
Svetlana Inamova previously worked as a chief doctor at a children's hospital in Andizhan, a town in eastern Uzbekistan, the report added.
The previous chairwoman of the Soghlom Avlod Uchun foundation, Oynisa Musurmonova, had received the post from the first chairwoman of the foundation, Uzbek President Islam Karimov's wife Tatyana Karimova, in March 2002.
