Uzbekistan donates two bears

October 10The Uzbekistani contingent at the Busan 2002 Asian Games contributed a pair of bears to the Busan city administration as a token of friendship and appreciation for residents' supports for the Central Asian republic.
The Tiansan bears, a 12-month old female and a 14-month old male, were presented to Busan Mayor, Ahn Sang-young by Uzbekistan chef-de-mission Ruziev Sabir in a ceremony held on Monday.
"The delegates from the Central Asian nation have been deeply impressed by the hospitality and devotion by the supporters and that's why they came up with the peculiar donation," a Busan official was quoted as saying by The Korea Times.
