Azerbaidjan, Russia, and Uzbekistan to enter regional group of banking supervision

Azerbaijan, Russia, and Uzbekistan are to enter regional group of banking supervision of Caucasus and Central Asian countries for cooperation in the sphere of banking regulation and information exchange. That decision was made in Kirgizia at 12th conference of banking supervision with participation of Central banks of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kirgizia, Russia, and also the Institute of stabilization and International currency fond. In connection with the widening of the group, it is proposed to change its name - an Agreement plan about creating regional group on banking supervision of Caucasus, Central Asia and Russian Federation. The project is discussed by the heads of national banks of country-participant groups.

The regional group on banking supervision of Caucasus, Central Asian countries was established in Yerevan in 1995.
