Sergey Krushevskiy of Uzbekistan pedaled to a gold medal and Alexandre Vinokourov won the silver Thursday in the men's 169.4-kilometer individual road race at the Asian Games.

Battling blustery winds, Krushevskiy covered the hilly seven-lap course in rural northern Busan in 4 hours, 17 minutes and 59 seconds. Vinokourov sprinted across the line at 4:18.24. The bronze went to Hong Kong's Wong Kam Po, who finished in 4:19.17.

Riders head to the track Friday for the men's 200-meter flying start, 4-kilometer individual pursuit, team sprint and 1-kilometer time trial. The women compete in the 200-meter flying start, 500-meter time trial and 3-kilometer pursuit.
