J.A. Jones wins $108M in embassy contracts in Uzbekistan and Georgia

The U.S. Department of State has awarded $108 million in embassy contracts to J.A. Jones Construction Co.

J.A. Jones will design and build American embassies in the former Soviet republics of Georgia and Uzbekistan.

The projects include chancery buildings to accommodate U.S. Department of State functions and Marine Security Guard quarters. The Uzbekistan project totals $53.5 million. The cost of the Georgia embassy is $54.7 million.

Construction is slated for completion in January 2006.
