After the 1-0 victory of Esteghlal of Tehran against Naftchi of Uzbekistan at home in the Asian Super Clubs Cup tournament, Ali Fathollahzadeh, Esteghlal Tehran chairman commented, “ It wasn’t a bad game and all the boys played as well as they could.”

“Esteghlal still has room for improvement and I am sure we’ll play better in Uzbekistan and defeat them for a second time. I am glad that Hasheminasab (Esteghlal striker who scored the goal against Naftchi) is having good days again and is in peak condition. I hope he continues this trend. Hasheminasab has been reborn again with the coming of Koch (head coach of Esteghlal Tehran).”

Esteghlal of Tehran will next face Naftchi of Uzbekistan at home to their opponents in Uzbekistan on 22nd November.
