Uzbek parliament session to open 12 December

November 12The Council of the Supreme Assembly (parliament) of Uzbekistan has adopted a resolution convening the 10th session of the Supreme Assembly of the second convocation, Uzbek Radio reported on 12 November.
The 10th session of the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Uzbekistan of the second convocation is to be convened in Tashkent, the Uzbek capital, on 12 December 2002.
The following issues are to be discussed at the 10th session of the Supreme Assembly:
1. On the draft law on the state budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2003.
2. On the draft law of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the Senate (upper house) of the Supreme Assembly of Uzbekistan.
3. On the draft law of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the Legislative Chamber (lower house) of the Supreme Assembly of Uzbekistan.
4. On the draft law of the Republic of Uzbekistan on universal military service.
5. On the draft law of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the reserve service of the Uzbek armed forces.
6. On the draft law of the Republic of Uzbekistan on principles and guarantees of freedom of information.
7. On the draft law of the Republic of Uzbekistan on state statistics.
8. On the draft law of the Republic of Uzbekistan on bankruptcy. A new edition.
9. On the draft law of the Republic of Uzbekistan on subsurface resources.
10. On the draft law of the Republic of Uzbekistan on introducing a system for declaring private individuals' aggregate income.
11. On the draft law of the Republic of Uzbekistan on citizens' appeals.
12. On introducing amendments and addenda to certain legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
In addition, the Supreme Assembly is expected to discuss other issues within its remit.
