Uzbek head receives Nestle company's president, ventures set to expand

he Uzbek president Islam Karimov met on Friday with the executive vice president of Nestle SA, Michael W. Garrett, who is responsible for the region including Asia, Oceania, Africa and the Middle East, and managing director of Uzbekistan-Nestle joint enterprise.
Mr. Michael Garrett began his work in the Nestle company in 1961. The main goal of the visit is to closely familiarize himself with the company's work in Uzbekistan and develop cooperative ties further.
President Islam Karimov welcomed the guest and highly praised the joint work that has been carried out over a short period. He said that as part of the healthy generation state programme the Nestle company was of great importance in providing children with high-quality dairy products.
Mr Michael Garrett said that he was paying special attention to this project, to bringing necessary investment into the country, attracting more experts to this sector and expanding cooperation further.
