Georgian finance ministry signed agreement on rescheduling part of Georgia state debts to Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Iran

Mirian Gogiashvili, minister of finance of Georgia, signed an agreement to reschedule part of Georgia's state debt (in particular, principal sums, clearance of which was due to start in 2000-2001) to Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Iran, during a recent visit to these countries.

The sum rescheduled comes to $30 million, all in all, - Mirian Gogiashvili told the BLACK SEA PRESS reporter. The rescheduling scheme was reconciled in line with Paris Club standard terms. So, the payment period was set at 20 years, with a grace period and annual interest rate of 3 years and 3%, respectively.

An agreement on write-off of Georgia's state debt to China is due to be signed in near future, said minister of finance.
