During his official visit to Uzbekistan today Moldovan Prime Minister Vasile Tarlev will focus on the expansion of bilateral economic cooperation.

According to his visit schedule, the Moldovan prime minister will meet the Uzbek president Islam Karimov, the Uzbek prime minister Otkir Sultonov, the chairman of the Supreme Assembly of Uzbekistan parliament, Erkin Khalilov and other Uzbek officials.

As a part of the visit, a meeting of the joint intergovernmental commission for trade and economic cooperation is planned to be held. The Moldovan delegation will meet representatives of local authorities in Samarkand this coming Wednesday [11 December].
