ADB approves loans for Uzbekistan, Indonesia

The Manila-based Asian Development Bank said on Sunday it had approved a loan package totalling $108.5 million to help Uzbekistan reform its education system to better meet needs of a market economy.

The loan, which was approved on Friday, is likely to benefit up to six million children enrolled in basic education.

In a separate statement, the ADB also said it approved a $33 million loan to rehabilitate and manage coral reefs in Indonesia.
