Deputy chairman of Uzbek parliament approved, president's speech continues

August 29The ninth session of the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Uzbekistan of the second convocation held its work in the parliament.
The deputies have considered the first issue on the agenda. It is on a deputy chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In keeping with Article 84 of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Article 14 of the Constitutional Law on the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Uzbekistan one of the deputy chairmen of the parliament should be a representative from the Autonomous Republic of Karakalpakstan and should be a deputy elected from Karakalpakstan.
The deputies elected from Karakalpakstan nominated the candidacy of Musa Tojiddinovich Erniyozov, the chairman of the Supreme Council of Karakalpakstan for this post. Erniyozov was born in 1942 in Karakalpakstan's Kegeyli District. He is Karakalpak. He has been holding official posts for many years. The deputies have considered this candidate and approved him in the post of the deputy chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The president of Uzbekistan, Islam Karimov, was given the floor on the second issue, that is, he is delivering a speech on deepening democratic reforms in Uzbekistan further and the main principles of forming the basis of a civic society.
