he second batch of UNICEF humanitarian aid for Afghanistan has arrived
in Uzbekistan from Copenhagen, Uzbek TV reported on 17 October.
"This is already the second aircraft to arrive in Tashkent with UNICEF cargo after the Uzbek government agreed to station humanitarian cargo for Afghanistan on the territory of our country," the TV report said over video of an aircraft being unloaded.
"The cargo contains tents, baby food and water-purifying compounds," the TV said. It quoted the head of the UNICEF mission in Uzbekistan, Rudi Rodrigues, as saying: "This batch of humanitarian aid contains items vitally important for women and children in Afghanistan."
