Uzbek parliamentary session to open on 6 December

The parliament of Uzbekistan, Oliy Majlis, will hold its 7th session of the second convocation on 6 December 2001.

The following issues are to be submitted to the 7th session of the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Uzbekistan for consideration:

1. On an address by the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the fight against international terrorism.

2. On a draft state budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2002.

3. On a draft code of town-planning of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in the first reading.

4. On a draft law of the Republic of Uzbekistan on economic entities.

5. On a bill of the Republic of Uzbekistan on companies with limited and additional responsibility.

6. On a bill of the Republic of Uzbekistan on production sharing agreements, in its second reading.

7. On a bill of the Republic of Uzbekistan on credit unions, in its first reading.

8. On a bill of the Republic of Uzbekistan on insurance activities, in its first reading.

9. On a bill of the Republic of Uzbekistan on guarantees of the protection of citizens' deposits in banks in its first reading.

10. On a bill of the Republic of Uzbekistan on standards and hallmarks on things made of precious metals.

11. On a bill of the Republic of Uzbekistan on waste, in its first reading.

12. On holding a national referendum on the issue of formation of a bicameral parliament in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

13. On a bill of the Republic of Uzbekistan on amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

14. On ratification of a number of international treaties and agreements.

It is also expected that along with these issues a number of other questions within the competence of the Supreme Assembly will be submitted to the deputies for consideration.
