umours have been cirulating in Tashkent, Samarkand and in some other towns recently that the consular department of the Korean embassy can arrange Korean entry visas for Uzbek citizens for a certain amount of money (from 1,000 to 2,000 dollars). There have been instances of credulous Uzbek citizens falling victim to swindlers.
Permits to enter the Republic of Korea for foreign citizens are issued in line with the current legislation on entering the Republic of Korea, and the issuing of visas is an inalienable prerogative of the Republic of Korea.
In keeping with the legislation on issuing entry visas to the Republic of Korea, the Korean embassy charges 30 dollars for a single 90-day entry visa, and 50 dollars for 91 days and more. There are no additional charges in addition to this.
The embassy would appreciate it if people would report such cases to the embassy in order to prevent new instances of fraud, and to put an end to false rumours. Contact telephones are 1523151, 1523152, 1523153; or people can come to the embassy in person.
Individual applicants should themselves come to the embassy to apply for entry visas, without medition or through third persons. Accordingly, there is no need to go through tourist firms or other mediators. We will remind you that no additional charges part from the above are levied.
