Uzbek drought-stricken northwestern region gets UN aid

zbekistan has issued a special resolution envisaging comprehensive measures to alleviate the aftermath of drought in Khorezm and Karakalpakstan regions. International organizations have also provided aid.
Humanitarian aid sent by the United Nations recently arrived in the Aral Sea region. The aid consisting of foodstuffs worth 36m soms was sent to people living in the Savran-Baykul neighbourhood and in the Aybuir and Musayev farms. Food aid will also be delivered to people living in Muynak, Takhtakupyr and Karauzyak Districts.
